Join us for a virtual discussion of Turn the Ship Around! by L. David Marquet, a leadership book that explores how empowerment, accountability, and trust can transform team performance and organizational culture. Connect with fellow PMI members as we share insights and discuss how the book’s lessons apply to project management, leadership, and team collaboration.

- Understand the key leadership principles presented in Turn the Ship Around!
- Discuss how empowerment and decision-making ownership can improve team performance.
- Identify ways to build stronger collaboration, accountability, and leadership within project teams.
Registration
- PMI San Diego Chapter Member: $5.00
- Non- Member: $10.00
- Registration Closes July 15, 2026, prior to the event starting.
PDU
- 1 PDU in Power Skills will be reported to participants (no further action required).
- Participants may also self-report PDUs to PMI based on time spent reading (with 1 PDU per hour read)
Additional Information
- Participation requires registering for the book club session by Wednesday, July 15.
- Participants must obtain their own copy of the book. Book can be purchased at Amazon or other book sellers.
- Participants must have read the book/book section under selection.
